Perdana Park in Tanjung Aru, Sabah is a 16-acre public recreational park which was opened on 28th January 2011 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Located within walking distance (1km) of the Terminal 2 building of the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, it has a man-made lake, jogging path, children's playground, and facilities for restaurants, although we only saw 2 restaurants in operation when we were there in August 2012.
Its main claim to fame is the beautiful musical fountain which performs to orchestral music at night.
The musical fountain operates from Monday to Thursday every half-an-hour beginning from 7pm with the last performance at 9pm.
On Friday to Sunday, the last performance is at 9:30pm.
