Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, Pahang

There is a new attraction in Genting. The Genting Highlands Premium Outlets was opened on 15 June 2017 and will provide a new shopping experience for both locals and tourists alike. With over 150 outlet stores from the likes of Coach, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade and the like; the discerning shopper will be satisfied with the goods on display.

A joint venture between Genting and the same people behind the Johor Premium Outlets ("JPO"), the outlet carries almost all major high street brands in the same outdoor mall style as in the JPO. However, the outdoor mall works well here compared to JPO, as the design is more suited to the highland temperature.

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets
The location of the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is on the 13th kilometre of the Genting Highlands road. This is basically the mid-point of the road up the mountain, just after Gohtong Jaya township and the Awana Hotel.

The centre of the outlet.
The outlet is designed as a 2.5 storey mall sitting on a podium of 8 storeys of carparks. The levels are called Low Street, Middle Street and High Street and coded on the maps as different precincts based on colours.

Low Street is of course the lowest level, and is the half storey of the 2.5 storeys; whereas the other levels take up the whole plinth area.

Getting to the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets is an easy drive from Kuala Lumpur and should take you less than an hour. You do need to be comfortable driving up a hill though!

Alternatively, you can take public transport to the Awana Skyway terminal behind the outlet store. Genting Express buses depart from KL Sentral, Pudu Sentral, Terminal Putra and 1Utama in the city to here. Taxis are also available.
